BYD has unveiled new fast-charging tech that adds 400 km (249 miles) of range in just five minutes. The company also plans to install over 4,000 of these ultra-fast chargers across China.
Its new “Super e-Platform” charges at a peak speed of 1,000 kW—twice as fast as Tesla’s upcoming V4 superchargers. The new technology debuts in the Han L sedan and Tang L SUV, starting at 270,000 yuan ($37,330).
Beyond charging, BYD’s new platform delivers record-breaking performance, with vehicles accelerating from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just two seconds.
With rapid charging, high performance, and affordability, BYD is no longer just competing with Tesla—it’s setting the pace for the EV market in 2025 and beyond.--More
